Flash Memory it’s a special type of memory that works like both RAM and ROM together. You can write information to flash memory, like you can with RAM, but that information is kept when the power is off like in a ROM. In today’s widely used SSD (Solid State Drives) the core is made from flash memories, because of their low cost production and great performance.
The only downside with flash memory, is their lower processing speed compared to a RAM memory.
