DERF Ups the Ante on Counterfeit Detection
More than ever, the amount of counterfeit components circulated throughout the economy has reached an all-time high. They have even found their way into military applications costing companies billions of dollars. There needs to be an assurance that companies are providing original parts to customers. Not everyone has the ability to do so.
Not only has DERF been in business for 65 years, but we are keeping up with technology to provide state of the art inspection for our clients. Our in-house test lab consists of the following equipment:
- Nisene Technology JetEtch II Acid Decapsulator
- Monroe Electronics Model 292 Surface Resistance Test Kit
- Monroe Electronics Model 282A-1 Digital Stat-ARC 3 Electrostatic Fieldmeter
- Monroe Electronics Model 282 CPS-1 Portable Charged Plate System
- 2 NIKON OPTIPHOT Brightfield / Darkfield Microscopes
- Tucsen CMOS TCA-1.31C Color Microscope Camera
- We also offer in-house baking with our Blue M oven
Our warehouse employees are ESD trained, CCAP101 trained, and also MSL trained. With in-house decapsulation, we can share detailed images using our equipment to share with your buyers and engineers. If substandard/nonconforming/ counterfeit material is identified, it is immediately quarantined.
